An antique batik cloth crafted using the traditional technique of wax-resist dyeing and manual coloring showcases a repetitive motif of lined-up flowers against a white striped background, commonly known as the Dlorong pattern. It bears a distinct embroidered marking of the number 16 along its edge, signifying its origin from India, dating back to the period between 1800 and 1950.

Likely produced in a batik workshop in Banyumas, this piece features a defining red L-shaped border on its edge. Banyumas, known for its sugar factories, historically attracted many European settlers.

This masterpiece stands as a significant representation of cultural heritage, seamlessly blending the traditional batik technique with motifs and styles that reflect the period and geographical roots of its creation.
